Frequently Asked Questions

Tell me about the boats.

Boomerang is a custom-made, center console panga. It's 27' long, and comes with outriggers, Penn Battle/Shimano rods/reels, Rapala & Yo-Zuri lures, and live bait when called for. We can safely and comfortably accommodate up to 7 people and have a BTN!, Better Than Nothin' private toilet in the center console. There is also a Garmin GPS/Fishfinder, transducer as well as a Bluetooth capability if you want to enjoy any music and an iPhone on board with pre-loaded Spotify playlists.

Victory is a 35' Cabo Express sport fishing boat. Outfitted with all the equipment you would require for a fishing experience in Costa Rica; outriggers, Penn Battle/Shimano gear, top-of-the-line lures and Garmin GPS/Fish finder, private full bathroom, and clean potable water. We can hold up to 7 people on most fishing trips, and can grow to about 9/10 guests for a snorkel/beach explorer day.

What comes with our trip?

On all trips, we supply water, soda, fresh fruits, bait, fishing gear, and snorkel gear for snorkel trips.

On 3/4 and Full day trips, we supply national beers, snacks, and sandwiches.

You are allowed to bring any additional food & beverage you would like, we just ask that you do not bring glass or fire on board.

If you would require a custom experience on board either Boomerang or Victory - let us know and we'll do our best to put that together.

What about the weather?

We fish, swim, and snorkel rain or shine! We will only cancel a trip if the Captain thinks the conditions are too dangerous to be on the water. We look at Buoyweather and Windy - as well as the water each morning.

What is the cancellation policy?

To reserve your date/time, we require a 50% deposit, that is non-refundable within 48 hours of your scheduled trip. Captain will only cancel if the conditions are too dangerous to be on the water and we will fully refund (or reschedule as best possible) if we cancel.

Do I need a Fishing License?

Costa Rica Law does require each person to have a fishing license. If you are out on Boomerang and approached by the Coast Guard, and can no provide a license, they may require you to purchase a license at that moment or possibly escort you back to port and your trip will be cut short - no refunds will apply. The fishing license can be found here: https://bit.ly/CRFishingLicense

What do I need to bring?

You can bring any additional food or beverage for your trip. There should be a cooler room available - we just ask that you do not bring any glass or fire. While we have extensive shade coverage, the sun does come at you from many angles - please bring proper sun protection for your needs and a towel if you plan to be in the water or get wet.

What happens if I break/lose the equipment or damage the boat while on board?

We'l fairly assess the damage and consult with our providers on the cost of repairs/replacement and pass that cost along to you.

What happens if I get injured or hurt while on board?

Please review our waiver here.
